can you tri-set and giant-set 2 different muscle groups ?

As I am seeing on the internet most people consider tri-sets and giant sets to target one single muscle group while super sets for different muscle group ? what is the deal here regarding the muscle group I don't want to sound ignorant ?

Im not sure what others do but myself trisets and supersets would be aimed at 2+ muscle groups, giant sets are the same single exercise just the sets are extended with various intensity techniques so they'd be aimed at a single muscle group.
